Welcome to Friendswood ISD

Friendswood ISD is a great place to be!
The philosophy of the district is based on an active partnership between parents, students, community and schools, and commitment to the realization of each and every student’s potential.
Our goal for students is to develop well-rounded productive citizens with a broad range of interests, abilities, and experiences. Success stories occur at all of our campuses every day and we celebrate their achievements.
Thank you, parents, for placing your children in Friendswood ISD. Thank you community for partnering with us in our commitment to quality education.

Trish Hanks

Superintendent

Friendswood ISD is privileged to have talented and dedicated teachers, a strong curriculum, parents who value and support education, and students who are ready to learn. Education is a top priority and Friendswood ISD.
Along with this, in 1987 the Board of Trustees adopted and put into curriculum a Character Education program K-12 that has grown and expanded impacting all students in FISD each year. These ingredients add up to success.

Our goal is to take our efforts to a higher level and demonstrate to the nation just what is possible!
Our district covers 15 square miles and borders the Alvin, Pearland and Clear Creek school districts and next to the fourth largest city in America.
FISD is in a great location for enrichment learning in Space, Engineering, Medicine, Marine Biology and Petrochemical areas.

Friendswood schools opened in 1939/40. The Friendswood Independent School District was established on December 21, 1948.
