19th CONSECUTIVE YEAR FJH WINS TOP SCORES AT UIL ACADEMIC CONTEST

Saturday, February 6, 2016 Friendswood Junior High students participated in the UIL Academic Contest held at La Porte Junior High School.

Seventh and eighth grade students competed with students from other schools within the district in 16 different categories such as: Chess, Oral Reading, Spelling, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Art, Dictionary, Listening, Editorial Writing, Ready Writing, Maps/Graphs/Charts, Impromptu Speaking, Number Sense, Modern Oratory and Calculator.

For the 19th consecutive year the FJH students did an outstanding job representing the mustangs and came away with the UIL Academic Contest big win. The students received many individual awards, as well as top score for seventh grade, eighth grade and the overall top score over district.
