2 FJH Robotics Teams advance to State competition in April

Five Friendswood Junior High robotics teams completed in a Texas Computer Education Association Region IV robotics meet at Fairmont Junior High in Deer Park ISD recently. Two of the FJH teams are advancing to State competition in Deer Park April 12.

The competition was divided into Arena Competition and Inventions.

In the Arena Competition: Vishal Bhongir, Brandon Delafuente, and Adam Warren won first place, received a trophy and advanced to State.

Zeke Bickham, Caden Fisher, and Daniel Londa finished in third place where they too received a trophy and advanced to State competition.

Joshua Betthauser, Austin Cloyd and Rohan Sunkureddi finished in a very respectable 9th place, according to Coach PJ Givens.

Alex Stroumpos, Jenna Horn, Jacob Bradley, Ryan Givens, Evan Rosenthal and Sirius Sharma had a very strong in the Inventions Competition.
Laurie Spangle also coaches the teams with Givens.
