The Friendswood Choir Department continued the tradition of excellence at the UIL competition held at Clear Springs High School on March 5 & 6. The Concert Choir received a superior rating on stage. The Mustang and Chamber Choirs received the top score available from all 6 judges, affectionately know as “straight 1’s”, granting them a sweepstakes rating. It is the first time in FJH history that the Men’s Chorus sang in 3-part sight-reading. “It has been an amazing journey this year. The students have grown not only musically, but as individuals who play an important role in the success of their team through their perseverance, dedication and teamwork” Laura Rachita. Directo said.

The Friendswood Choirs are under the direction of Laura Rachita and Carrie Hall.
