To celebrate Career Technology Education (CTE) month at Friendswood High School, aFriendswood High School Department Chili Cook-Off that was hosted by CTE underthe direction of Executive Director Debbie Woodson.

            Eachdepartment cooked two pots of chili. Tables were decorated around each entry’stheme and name and set up in the Culinary Arts kitchen.

Judgesincluded Deputy Superintendent Thad Roher, Assistant Superintendent LynnHobratschk, Superintendent Trish Hanks, Senior Executive Director of SecondaryCurriculum Diane Myers, Friendswood Junior High Principal Dana Drew, andExecutive Director of Human Resources Jan Scogin.

Firstplace was given to the Math Department, second place was Special Education, andthird place was the English Department.

Thefirst place winner got a trophy and will get a free dessert from Culinary ArtsCafe Blue and second and third place received ribbons.

“Itwas a lot of fun and a great way to bring the staff together and celebrate CTEmonth!" Woodson said.
