Friendswood High School had 14 Distributive Education Club of America (DECA) students advance to state contest after competing at the DECA Career Development Conference recently.
Those qualifying for state include Havi Blanco- Personal Financial Literacy;
Phoebe Cocetti-Human Resource Management; Mazlin Massey-Human Resource Management; and Klaryssa Heussmann-Sports and Entertainment Marketing.
Teams who qualified include Charmel Royster & Bailey Davis- Business Law & Ethics Team Decision Making Event; Rachel Lange & Nadia Enriquez- Buying & Merchandising Team Decision Making; Hailey Hutson & Jenna Moncrief- Hospitality Services Team Decision Making; Katie Obert & Dallas Beaty-Hospitality Services Team Decision Making; and Lauren Abowd & Claire Gilbreath- Travel & tourism Team Decision Making.
The FHS DECA group competed with 1000 students at the conference. State competition will be in Dallas in March.
