FHS Choir awards annual honors at May banquet

FHS Choir Banquet, held May 26 at the Bay Oaks Country Club,

recognized outstanding accomplishments by students in the program throughout the

school year.

The National School Choral Award for students most dedicated to the choral program was presented to Kirsten Hill and Jon Yawn. This student-selected award also

considers qualities of leadership, musicianship and participation.

The Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Music Scholar Awards were presented to Shelby Allison, Gina Baker, Brian Chew, Ally Eckhart, Mackenzie Henderson, Kirsten Hill, Kylee Hill, Rachel Jensen, Maddie Keefe, Connor Krusleski, Lauren Kutz, Zach Maiberger, Marina Meche, Maddie Pertuis, Elisa Rodriguez, Alex Rudd, Brie Sharp, Josh Thomas and Nattie Wroblewski.

Achievement Awards were given to the following: Marcus Fetty received Vocal Ensemble Marcus Fetty, Campus Singers Rachel Jensen, Concert Men Dante Marcuccuio, Varsity Women Rosie Carlos and Treble Choir Frances Sandridge and Emma Wimberly.

Leadership Awards were presented to the following: Vocal Ensemble Caleb Petty, Campus Singers Adam Montasser, Concert Men Garrett Morris, Varsity Women Lauren Podlewski and Treble Choir Isabella Giovannini.

Annica Marcuccio and Sami Sauer were awarded Service Awards.

The Most Outstanding students, determined by individual achievement over the year, are Freshman Mandy Larsen, Sophomores Hannah Holt, Dante Marcuccio, Marina Meche, Maddie Pertuis and Alex Rudd, Juniors Gina Baker, Connor Krusleski and Sevren Lab and Senior Shelby Allison.

Choir Directors are Janwin Overstreet-Goode and Michael Tyer.
