FHS Science and Engineering Fair of Houston– Success

Seven Friendswood High School students successfully participated in the 57th annual Science and Engineering Fair of Houston held at the University of Houston on Saturday, February 27.

The award ceremony was held at the University of Houston on Sunday, February 28. Over 900 students from 118 districts participated with these students representing 12 regional fairs. Over 500 professionals from the Houston area served as judges for the fair.

Andrew Cianciolo- 1st place- Health Physics Society
Andrew Cianciolo- Houston Astronomical Society Award
Sarah Palmer- Finalist- Houston Museum of Natural Science Internship
Sarah Palmer- Sam Houston Area Council Award
Madeleine Thompson- Jacobs Explorer Award
Sarah Palmer-2nd place- Society of Petroleum Engineers

FHS Senior Division Place Awards:
Madeleine Thompson was awarded 2nd place in Animal Sciences
Sarah Palmer was awarded 2nd place in Engineering: Electrical & Mechanical

Madeleine Thompson and Sarah Palmer will now advance to the Texas Science and Engineering Fair in San Antonio from April 1-2.
