FHS seniors named National Hispanic Scholars

Four Friendswood High School seniors have been named 2014-2015 National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars.

These include Andrew Adcox, Anne Balderrama, Bishop Lopez, and Robert Todd.

Participation in the NHRP is free of charge, enables students to receive a prestigious certificate of recognition from the College Board, and highlights their outstanding educational achievements to top colleges and universities.

The College Board will be sending each of these students listed above an official certificate of recognition. Each recipient scored at or above the NHRP qualifying level for the region on the PSAT test as a junior, self-reported an ethnicity of Hispanic or Latino and applied for the program.

Two additional FHS seniors were also recognized by the College Board for scores that qualified at or above the NHRP qualifying level on the PSAT as a junior and who self-reported an ethnicity of Hispanic or Latino. They are Jacob Munoz and Ramiro Garcia.
