The annual Friendswood Junior High Science Fair was held recently, ending with the awards ceremony that night. Megan Marshall, 8th Grade Pre AP Science teacher served as the Science Fair Coordinator.
In Physics, Jared Janak (8th grade) placed first with Robert Chuok (7) in second, Sarah McCullough (8) tied for third place with Hunter Hall (8).
In Engineering, Rhianna Spong (7) won first with Jose Comaco (8) in second, Krishna Chaudhari (8) andLucas Hopkins (7) tied for third place.
In Biochemistry/Microbiology, first place was given to Lauren Goolsby (8) with Jorge Gonzalez (7) in second and Brooks Ballard (7) in third place.
In Environmental Science, Toan Van (7) received first place with Harrison Williams (8) in second place, and Zach Corbett (8) in third place.
In Chemistry, Ryan Peplinski was in first place with Emma Sutherland (7) being in second and Alette Poter (8) in third place.
In Behavioral/Social Sciences, Alex Mata (7) won first place with Caroline Velek (7) insecond, and Heather Jolibois (8) and Kyle Harner (8) tied for third place.
In Botany, Sarah Thomas (8) received first place with Amanda Hunt (8) in second place, and Maggie Gibbons(7) in third place.
In Zoology, Alex Carbone-Larson (7) was awarded first place with Alex Etzel (7) in second and John Murray (8) in third place.
“I am proud of all of these students and all of their hard work! They did a fantastic job, and we’re very proud of their well earned success!” Marshall said.
