FJH Yearbook wins award

The Friendswood Junior High Yearbook and its staff have been recognized by Balfour Yearbooks with a Featured recognition for its outstanding contribution to scholastic journalism. The FJH yearbook will be showcased in the 2015 Yearbook Yearbook publication. The yearbook adviser is Toni McAfoos.McAfoos and the staff were complimented with capturing the moments of the year in words and pictures. The FJH yearbook is a mirror that reflects students’ lives, Balfour announced. The FJH’s commitment to telling their stories helped win the award.

The FJH book that won was themed Our Story. The cover of the book design was an effort by the Yearbook classes and the Art classes under the direction of Stefanee Cibulski

The Yearbook Yearbook publication is studied by staffs across the nation to get ideas and see examples of the best award-winning books.

Yearbooks published by Balfour for the 2013-2014 school year were evaluated in one or more of the following areas: theme development, layout design, photo content, secondary packages and cover design.

Only three percent of the yearbook staffs receive such an honor.
