The Class of 2017 has several upcoming fundraisers to help raise money for the Prom and other class functions.  Each year the students must raise an average of $12,000 as they prepare for their senior year.
The Freshmen Class Officers are Morgan Evans, President; Elaina Roher, Vice President; Cade Roenne, Treasurer; and Catherine Evans, Secretary.
Their primary responsibility is to work with all class members to raise money.  The Freshmen Class has a limited number of fundraisers and they need community support to make fundraising efforts a success.
The Class of 2017ís fall fundraisers include a tee shirt sale, pregame Italian Dinner and silent auction.
The tee shirt sale took place August 19 at Copy Dr. where the freshmen hosted a drive through tee shirt sale. All freshmen are asked to wear their new shirts at Fish Camp August 21. The first 25 people who drove through the sale to get shirts also received coupons for a free Route 44 Sonic drink.
The Class of 2017 will host an Italian dinner at FHSís first home game against Alvin, August 30 from 5 ñ 6:30 p.m. The dinner, catered by the recently opened Ginaís Italian Restaurant in Friendswood, cost $10 per ticket or $5 per ticket for children.  Each ticket buys  spaghetti or fettuccini alfredo, salad, bread, dessert and a drink.  As a bonus diners will also get a coupon for a free dessert or appetizer to use the next time they visit Ginaís.
Tickets will be for sale the first week of school in the FHS cafeteria during lunch.
There will be many available items to bid on at the Pregame Dinner through the Class hosted Silent Auction.  Auction items include multiple sets of Texans tickets including 4 on the Club Level, tickets, Boat/RV storage, Homecoming basket, cheerleading basket, babysitter basket, gift cards/baskets for many local businesses and gift cards for many local restaurants.
