Friendswood ISD offers treat for seniors

Gold Cards for Friendswood seniors ages 65 and older are available from Friendswood ISD in an effort to thank many citizens for their many years of support.

These cards offer seniors free admission to all FISD home athletic events and to all fine arts student performances, with the exception of Varsity Football games and playoff games.

To use, seniors just need to show the card at the admission gate.

To own a card and become a member of the FISD Gold Card Club, an application must be completed with name, address, phone, birth date, email and signature. This will offer the district contact info if there are topics the cardholders need to know and it also proves, along with one identification piece such as a driver’s license, that the person lives in Friendswood, the other requirement that goes with the age rule.

Cards are available at the receptionist’s desk at the Administration Building at 302 Laurel Drive. The cards are free to those 65 and older with a Friendswood address.

“We hope that our seniors will take full advantage of the Gold Cards and will invite their friends to join with them. They will see how their support of Friendswood ISD has paid off. They will be able to observe more than 6,000 students in action,” Superintendent Trish Hanks said. “We’re confident that cardholders will be pleased with what they see. Our students and staff are looking forward to seeing them!”
