On January 14th Friendswood hosted a dual meet against Clear Lake. Not only did the Lady Mustangs and Mustangs win the meet, they took 1st place in 20 out of 24 events. The Lady Mustangs won the meet with a total of 172 points. The Clear Lake girls scored 125 points. The Mustangs won the meet with a total of 219 points. The Clear Lake boys scored a total of 88 points.
During the meet Michael Claunch set a new pool record for the Boys 1 Meter Diving scoring a total of 265.35 for his 6 dives performed.
The Friendswood High School Swimming and Diving team took time during the meet to recognize the senior swimmers and divers from both teams and wish them well.

The Friendswood swimming and diving teams will compete next in the District 24 6A Swimming and Diving Championship meet to be held at their own natatorium, The Wave. Diving will be held on Friday, January 29th starting at 4:00pm. The swimming competition will be held on Saturday, January 30st beginning at 10:00am.
