National Signing Day

Jake Revere, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play baseball for Tulane University. He as a member of the National Honor Society Student Council, Senior Mentor, Math and Science Club tutor, Health Occupations Students of America Club and Latin Club. Revere is joined at the signing by his parents, Shaun and Lee Revere, sisters Annie and Isabelle and Coach Steve Hecker.

Rylan Kaufman, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play baseball at San Jacinto Junior College. He was joined at the signing by his parents Garry and Melanie Kaufman, Coach Steve Hecker and Coach Benavides.

Skyler Pope, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play Lacrosse at Ohio Valley University. Pope is the first FHS lacrosse player to sign. At FHS, she was a four-year Varsity letterman and a Finalist in the Lacrosse Aggieland Tournament. She is a member of Latin Club, Skills USA, Constitution Club and was awarded the Citizenship and Caring Character Counts Award. She was joined at the signing by her parents Nickie and Phil Leasure and Coach Chris Turner.

Ashley Elliott, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play softball at Austin College. At FHS, she was named Defensive Player of the Year, 2nd Team All-District, and a two year Honorable Mention All-Galveston County. She was joined at the signing by her parents Amy and Chris Elliot, her brother Cedric, Coaches Christa Yates, Kevin Parr, and David Accardo.

Alexandra Samonski, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play softball for East Texas Baptist University. At FHS, she was named All-County Player. She was joined at the signing by her parents Frank and Duan, her brother Davis and Coaches Christa Yates, Kevin Parr and David Accardo.

Hannah Carpenter, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play softball for LSU Eunice. At FHS, she was a four-year Varsity Letterman, 2nd Team All-District Utility Player 2016, and All-District Honorable Mention 2015. She was joined at the signing by her parents Scott and Kristi Carpenter, brother Ryan, Select Coaches JT Torres, Johnny Cruz, Christina Matta, along with FHS Coach Christa Yates, Kevin Parr, and David Accardo.

Celina Saenz, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play softball at Alvin Community College. At FHS, she was a member of the Recycling Club and Best Friends Club.
She was joined at the signing by her parents Ravi and Michelle, sister Zada and Michyla, ACC Coach Rudi Cantu, Select Coach Christina Mata and FHS Coaches Christa Yates, Kevin Parr, and David Accardo.

Hayley Bowers, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play soccer for East Texas Baptist University. At FHS, she was Team Captain 2015-2017, 1st Team All-District 2015-2017, 2nd Team All-County, 1st Team All-Academic and Newcomer of the Year. She was a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, Link Crew and HOSA. She was joined at the signing by her parents Skip and Mary Jo, brothers Colby, Derrick and Joey, Grandparents Willie and Mary Jane and Coach Laura Peter.

Sydney Gurry, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to swim at Indiana Butler University. While at FHS, she was a member of National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, PALS and Interact Club. She was the Swim Team Captain, named to 1st Team All-District, Academic All-District, Academic All-State, named Most Outstanding Female Swimmer and District Female Athlete of the Meet. She was joined at the signing by her parents, Jay and Kim Gurry, brother Trey, Grandparents Ken and Nedra Gurry, and Coach John Little.

Riley Grden, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play Beach Volleyball for Texas A&M Corpus Christi. While at FHS, she was a member of National Society of High School Scholars. She was named to the Academic All-District Team 2016 and 2017. She was joined at the signing by her parents, John and Linda Grden, brother Luke, and Coaches Kristin Goodman, Shayna Sauers and Sarah Paulk.

Tyler Page, Friendswood High School senior, signed a letter of intent to play football for Southern Methodist University. At FHS, Page broke the all school rushing record and was the all team rushing leader. In 2016 he was named Touchdown Club Player of the Year, All-County Player of the Year, Vype All-Greater Houston Player, Honda Player of the Week Greater Houston, 1st Team Greater Houston, Houston Chronicle Player of the Week, Channel 11 Player of the Week, MVP All-District, MVP All-County, 1st Team All-District(unanimous), Supercuts All-Player of the Year, and Chevy Spotlight Player of the Year. 2015 Honors: Kube Player of the Year Vype Greater Houston Football, 1st Team All-District, All-District Offense MVP, and All-County Player of the Year, He was a member of the National Honor Society, UIL Accounting Team and 3-year letterman in track. He was joined at the signing by his parents Brad and Bonnie Page, sister Samantha Page and Coaches Nathan Roher, Jamie Crocker, and Athletic Director Robert Koopman
