Prestigious Keep Texas Beautiful awards were presented to the FHS Recycling Club and Eagle Scout, Cooper Dixon. The club and Cooper were separately nominated by Keep Friendswood Beautiful for Keep Texas Beautiful Youth Leadership Awards.
FHS Recycling Club sponsored by Elizabeth Woodley won first place in the High School Club category for their cafeteria recycling program.
FHS student Cooper Dixon won first place in the Youth Individual/Scout category for creating a disc golf course at 1776 Park in Friendswood. Award recipients will be formally recognized at the annual Keep Texas Beautiful Conference next month in Ft. Worth.
