Israel Garza, father of Westwood Bales first grader, Marc Garza, spent a day teaching Margaret Limmer’s 1st grade students about planes, rockets, and how they fly during their SPACE DAY activities recently. He did several science experiments with the children that helped them to understand why airplanes fly. He had the kids make airplanes and then organized a flying contest complete with prizes. Students also received a graduation certificate upon completion of the activities. Everyone went outside and the children were able to launch rockets into the sky – which the kids loved!
