Wranglerettes named Grand Champions at Crowd Pleasers Regionals

After the Wranglerettes finished competing at Crowd Pleasers Regional Competition in Baytown at Goose Creek Memorial High School, they walked away with several top awards including Overall Grand Champion Officers and Team and the Highest Scoring Dance of the Day for their Team Jazz.
Additional results are are follows:
Kate Dannemiller and Zozzie Lucas won Junior Solo Finalist.
Katelyn Begnaud and Madison Brown won Senior Solo Finalist.
Solo winners Junior Division include winner Kate Dannemiler and second runner up Zozzie Lucas. Solo winners Senior Division include winner Katelyn Begnaud and third runner up Madison Brown.
In the Medium Ensemble Category, Friendswood Illusion Ensemble won first place and Friendswood Dream Ensemble won second place.
First place in the Social Officer Award was presented to the Friendswood Social Officers.
In Officer Awards, Friendswood Dance Officers received Super Sweepstakes award for receiving scores of 90 or higher from all three judges for all three dances.
These include Best in Class Large Officer Hip Hop- first place; Best in Class Large Officer Jazz- first place; and Best in Class Large Officer Lyrical – second Place.
Friendswood Dance Officers received Outstanding Technique award for Officer Jazz
Outstanding Choreography Award for Officer Jazz, Officer Lyrical , and Officer Hip Hop.
The Friendswood Dance officers were named as one of the Top Showcase Elite Officer groups and awarded Grand Champions in the Large Officer Division.
In Team Awards, Wranglerettes received Super Sweepstakes award for receiving scores of 90 or higher from all three judges in four Wranglerette team routines: Best in Class Large Team Jazz- first place; Best in Class Large Team Novelty- first place; Best in Class Large Team Pom – second Place; and Best in Class Large Team Kick – second Place,
Wranglerettes were awarded Most Outstanding Team Jazz of the Day out of the entire contest participants.
Wranglerettes received Outstanding Technique awards for Team Jazz, Team Pom, Team Novelty, Team Kick and Outstanding Choreography awards for Team Jazz, Team Novelty, and Team Kick.
The Wranglerettes were named as one of the top Showcase Elite Teams and awarded Grand Champions in the Large Team Division.
Their Team Jazz was named Highest Scoring Dance of the Day.
Overall, the Wranglerettes were named Grand Champion of the entire competition, receiving $500 towards the Booster Club.
