Mustang Football is Team of the Week

danFHS Athletics, High School News

Congratulations to the FHS Mustang football team on being named the Division 4A Army Strong Team of the Week.

In recognition of this honor,  a representative from the U.S. Army  will present the team, its coaching staff, and supporters with a commemorative plaque signifying this achievement.

“As you well know, football helps teach young men about teamwork and  the  need  to rely  upon abilities of one’s comrades to accomplish shared goals. Athletes, like U.S. Army Soldiers, call upon their physical, mental and emotional strength to achieve success not  just on the field, but In life.”

To further celebrate these fine student-athletes who demonstrate the qualities exhibited within the Army, including leadership, commitment to excellence and a desire to make a difference as a part of a team, the  team, students and  their families are invited to attend this year’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 4 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Up to 100 free ticket vouchers will  be available. It is hoped everyone will join in this unique opportunity to experience not only the game, but the All-American Marching Band halftime and the Army Strong Zone at Sunset Station with food, live music and more.

To request the vouchers or for more information about the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, please contact Connie Dickey at [email protected]l or {210) 221-0622.

“Thank you for your dedication to our  great community,we hope to see you at the  game! Keep  up the good work and best  of  luck  for  the remainder of the season.”
