Rodeo School Art Competition and Exhibit

danFHS Art Department, Fine Arts News, High School News

Our District Rodeo School Art will be displayed in the FHS library on January 15, 2014, at 12:30 pm. The volunteer art judges will be served lunch and will then judge all FISD district artwork, from K-12. Winning artwork will be taken to the Reliant Center to be exhibited for the duration of the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Show. Pictures will be taken of the winning artwork and they will be displayed for all to see on a poster board in our library.

We will have an Open House reception for the remaining Rodeo Artwork on January 16 from 4 pm until 5:30 pm, for the elementary grades, and from 4:30 pm until 7 pm for the Junior High School and the High School. Last year was our first year to have our own district rodeo art exhibit and it was a huge success, with over 700 parents, students and friends in attendance. Numerous people donated all sorts of refreshments and our cafeteria staff provided tea and ice water for our guests. This was great PR for all of our art departments and we look forward to another successful show.

You are cordially invited to come and see what all levels of our art students are doing during our Open House. We would love to have you there!
