housebill5Texas has introduced new graduation plans for high school students. While the law directly impacts incoming 9th grade students, current 9th through 11th grade high school students do have some new options for graduation.

Friendswood High School will host two parent meetings to explain the new graduation plans and help families of current 9th through 11th graders make the right course decisions.

Here is what current high school students need to know:
You can still graduate on the Recommended, Distinguished, or Minimum plan.
You should consider college entrance requirements before changing graduation plans.
You can change to the new Texas graduation plans even if you are in high school.

Join us on one of the following dates to decide the best path to graduation for your student:
Thursday, February 13  at 7 pm in the FHS Cafeteria
Monday, February 17  at 9 am in the FHS Auditorium.
