Science and Engineering Fair of Houston Winners

The 55th annual Science and Engineering Fair of Houston was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center on February 20, 2014. Twenty-three Friendswood High School students participated and many earned awards for their outstanding projects. Awards for SEFH were given on Saturday, February 22 at the Cullen Performance Hall on the U of H campus. A total of 970 projects competed in the fair and included both senior and junior division projects. The 1st place project in the 9th grade division and the 1st and 2nd place projects in the Senior division advance to the state science fair. Six students from FHS now move on to the Exxon-Mobil Texas Science and Engineering Fair to be held in San Antonio from March 21-23. A total of 6 Grand Awards were given overall that advance directly to the INTEL ISEF. Grand Award winner, Jamie McCullough will advance directly to the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair to be held in Los Angeles, CA from May 11- 16. Roma Pradhan placed as a Grand Award Alternate and will notified shortly if she will advance to the INTEL ISEF based on funding from SEFH.
