Call for Help for Friendswood Art Teacher

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

On Sat. Oct. 18 , Friendswood Frame & Gallery will be hosting a Chalk Walk benefit for a beloved Friendswood Art teacher of 33 yrs. and her husband, Jan & Jim Nemitz.

This past spring, after a long debilitating illness Jan’s husband suffered a severe stroke. He cannot speak or move on his own and requires 24 hr. health care assistance. Although he has recently been put on hospice care, their out of pocket weekly nurse care expenses exceed $1000 a week. It is a difficult expense on a teacher’s salary.

Friendswood Frame & Gallery, Joe & Mary Prihoda & Betsy Miller are planning an art/heart filled benefit for the Nemitz family.

If you are interested in helping, there are 4 ways to help!
1# Offer a donation-contact Friendswood Frame & Gallery @ luisdoylebriones@yahoo.com
281-482-2202

2# Volunteer to  come & paint in sidewalk chalk a 3’x3′ square on Oct 18th. Starting at 8 am.
Each square costs $100. We need Artists! Please contact Betsy or FWD Frame & Gallery ASAP

3# Sponsor an artist for $100. They will include your business
Name & or logo in the artwork.

#4 Just come & enjoy the event & perhaps bid on silent auction items offered by wonderful local artists & the surrounding businesses!

It is often said… It takes a village- this is just one way to give back to a teacher who has blessed so many of our children for so many years in our community.

Thank you for considering to help!
