The FISD School Board honored Andrew “Kyle” Almaguer, an 11grade student at Friendswood High School Monday night with a Resolution from State Representative, Greg Bonnen of District 24.
Almaguer was recognized as an “Outstanding young Texan who brightens the lives of all who know him.”
Trustee, Matt Robinson presented Kyle and his parents with the Resolution signed by Rep. Bonnen. An excerpt from the document reads:
“The son of Lillie and Americo Almaguer, Kyle Almaguer has won the affection of many people through his civil engagement; he is an ambassador for the Texas oilman’s Bass Invitational, a junior firefighter with the Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department, and a valued congregant of Mary Queen Catholic Church… He brings joy and enthusiasm to each new task he takes on, and he is indeed deserving of special recognition for his achievements.”
Superintendent Trish Hanks stated that Kyle was the first student in FISD to receive this honor.
