UIL GRAPES OF WRATH Advancing to Area

On Saturday, April 2 FHS UIL One Act Play traveled to Dickinson High School to compete in the Bi District 6A UIl Academic- One Act Play Contest against five schools from two districts.

The Grapes of Wrath advanced with Deer Park and North Shore High Schools to the Area meet.

Winning Best Technical Crew and Technical execution:  Sarah Jacobson, senior, and Stage Manager, Joseph LeBlanc, Meredith Fraga – lighting and Emily King and Leignanne Breaux. This crew has been assisted in set building by team members: Jacob Vegas, J. C. Mills, Jacob Goodin and Andrea Beasley.
Best Technical medals went to 6 students from the competing schools: Leighanne Breaux received FHS’ crew medal.
All Star Cast: Bodie Lowe, Senior, for the role of Jim Casey
All Star Cast: Connor Krusleski, Senior, for the role of Tom Joad
Honorable mention: Madeline Rhew for the role of Ma Joad

The Area Meet  will be Friday, April 8 at San Jacinto College. FHS will perform as Play #5 out of 6.
The Performances begin at 2 p.m.
