Friendswood Wins Sprint Kickoff 2017

The Friendswood Mustang swim team hosted it’s season opening meet this weekend competing against Clear Creek, Clear Lake, Clear Brook, Clear Springs, and Alvin. Our Mustang swimmers and divers had a solid win with 792.5 points.

Diving competition was held Friday night. For the women, Lily Ellis placed 1st with 163.90 points and Emily Pate placed 3rd with 156.40. Men included Gabriel Costa placing 2nd with 180.90 points and Andrew McMichael placing 3rd with 139.00 points.

The swimming events began Saturday morning with the Friendswood Mustang Women placing 3rd in the meet with 360.5 points, followed by Clear Springs with 181 points.

The Friendswood Mustang Men placed 1st with 432 points, Clear Lake took second place with 341 points, and Clear Creek finished in third place with 326 points.

• Womens 100 Medley Relay: 2nd place; Mara White, Anna McHenry, Olivia Theall, and Reagan Hopkins
• Mens 100 Medley Relay: 2nd place; Max Hardt, Nicholas Calapan, Josh Haffelder, and Thomas McHenry
• Womens 50 Freestyle: 1st place; Olivia Theall
• Mens 50 Freestyle: 1st place; Thomas McHenry
• Womens 50 Backstroke: 1st place; Olivia Theall
• Mens 50 Backstroke: 2nd place; Max Hardt
• Womens 100 Freestyle: 1st place; Olivia Theall
• Mens 100 Freestyle: 3rd place; Max Hardt
• Womens 50 Breaststroke: 1st place; Olivia Theall and 3rd place; Anna McHenry
• Mens 50 Breastroke: 1st place; Max Hardt and 3rd place; Josh Haffelder
• Womens 50 Butterfly: 1st place; Olivia Theall
