Prepare your greatest swings and grunts because the 48-hour Friendswood High School Tennis Tournament is approaching. There will be no fault in participating in this great fundraiser as the Friendswood High School tennis team invites the community to come out and challenge its players to a game, asking only for donations in return. The marathon of non-stop tennis play will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 10 and end at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 12 at the Friendswood High School Tennis Courts. This event will benefit the Mustangs as they prepare for their upcoming season by aiding in paying for tennis equipment, uniforms and travel expenses.
If you plan on playing, be sure to bring your tennis racquet. If playing is not appealing to you, you may also choose to come watch on Friday, August 10 at 6 p.m. as the Mustangs kick-off their season in a game against the Dobie High School tennis team. Whether you are playing or not, donations are encouraged and appreciated.
Prior to the event, the team is in need of donations for a silent auction that will take place during the tennis marathon. In addition to the silent auction, there will be snacks and drinks for sale, so come hungry to play.
Checks should be made out to Friendswood Mustang Booster Club and donations can be mailed to FHS Tennis, Attn: Karin Massicott, 2107 Airline Drive, Friendswood, TX 77658.
FHS thanks you for your support and hopes to see you on the other side of the net.
