Residency

Students must be residents of Friendswood ISD in order to attend FISD schools. Proof of residency must be provided to the campus registrar at the time of registration. Proof includes a current utility bill or lease agreement with name of parent / guardian and physical address. Any person who knowingly falsifies information on a form required for a student’s enrollment in the District shall be liable to the District for full tuition if the student is not eligible for enrollment.

Presenting a false document or record under Section 21.0313 of the Texas Education Code is an offense under Section 37.10, Penal Code. Students found to be residing outside of the District’s boundaries will be immediately withdrawn from school.

Supply lists are available from the individual teachers on the first day of school. MORE >>>>>

Take a Notebook

It is suggested that students attending the high school take a pen or pencil and a small spiral notebook with them the first day of school.


9th-12th GRADE RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
(Includes incoming 9th graders from FJH)

PACKET PICKUP
August 11th – 12th All GRADE LEVELS – all day in the cafeteria
You may continue to pickup registration folders during registration dates.   The folders will be in the cafeteria.

Beginning 9 am on August 12, all returning FISD families will be able to register online prior to the beginning of the school year.

REGISTRATION TIMES
You may register multiple children in your family on any given date.
*NEW   Families with FJH and FHS students may pay for their registration fees at either location.

August 15th – Senior Registration 9:00 am – noon; 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (only senior schedules available)
August 16th – Junior Registration 9:00 am – noon; 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm (only junior and senior schedules available)
August 17th – Sophomore Registration 9:00 am – noon; 1:00 pm – 4:00pm (only sophomore, junior and senior schedules available)
August 18th – Freshman Registration 9:00 am – noon; 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm

New Student/Freshman Parent meeting 6:00 pm

August 17th – Link Crew Fish Camp for incoming 9th graders, 9am – 11am, boys gym

Freshman/New students to district – These students will not receive schedules until after mandatory 6:00 pm meeting.  New students must have first registered in the Counseling Center.  See the information at the top of this page concerning New Student Registration.


Items Needed for NEW to DISTRICT REGISTRATION

DOCUMENTS: The following items are necessary for registration:

  1. Proof of residency (Closing documents, lease agreement [signature of the leasee and property owner], or utility bill)
  2. Previous report card
  3. Student’s social security card
  4. Immunization records (MUST have at time of registration)
  5. Most recent grade transcript (if not on withdrawal form)

Additional Information

The immunization requirements must be met BEFORE an FHS STUDENT will be allowed to attend school.

ALL IMMUNIZATION DATES MUST INCLUDE THE MONTH, DAY, AND YEAR. The TB test is not required.
