First Round Choir Auditions

FHS Choir students auditioned in the first round of All-Region and All-State Choir at Clear Springs High School on Saturday September 24. FJH Symphonic Band Honored

The Friendswood Junior High Symphonic Band was recently selected as a Commended Winner in the New Music Division of the National Wind Band Honors, hosted by the Foundation for Music Education. This is an award based on last spring’s recorded submission and entry. The band is directed by Sarah Bennett, Jason Abbott, and Thomas Landfried.

Speech and Debate

The FHS Speech and Debate team competed September 17 at the Memorial HS Speech Tournament in Houston. Out of 23 competing, 11 were in their first Speech & Debate meet.
