Friendswood ISD was represented at the Sugarland Special Olympic Swim meet recently. They received  (14) gold(9) silver (4) bronze medals (2) 4th place and  (1) 5th placeribbon.

Friendswood High School forensics competitor and senior Dylan Dickens has placed in the top 10 in the nation at the National Forensic League National Tournament held before school started this fall. Dylan Dickens placed 8th in Extemp Commentary. He also finished in the top 60 in International Extemp.

Foundation speaks at Cline

FISD Education Foundation Vice President Allan Rasmussen spoke to parents at the Cline PTO recently and shared with them information about the Foundation and its Adopt a Grant program. New grants will be posted Dec 1 for adopting. This year the FEF plans to go over the $1 million mark in giving to the FISD teachers in grants since 1999.
