Friendswood ISD Community Education is pleased to offer a class in a topic that many adults must address as they—and their parents, age. “Long Term Care Planning,” taught by Ms. Kimberly Hegwood JD, of Hegwood & Associates P.C., offers information for proactive planning to avoid unnecessary loss of assets in the event of required nursing home care. Ms. Hegwood will discuss asset protection through options such as long-term care insurance, Medicaid and VA benefits. This class is informational only and no specific legal advice will be provided. “Long-Term Care Planning” is scheduled Tuesday, November 18, 7-8:30 pm at Friendswood High School. Cost is $12.00 per student and preregistration is required.
