FHS Girls Swim and Dive Team Sweep Relays and Dive in Close Win Versus Memorial

The Friendswood High School 5A Swim and Dive Team rose to the challenge at their away meet, hosted by Memorial High on Thursday, Nov. 5.  The Friendswood girls swept all three relays and won diving to clinch a one-point win versus 6A Memorial High.  The boys’ team came in second in what was a very competitive meet. 

Caitlin Williams took the top spot (1st) in the girl’s 1 Meter Diving.  No Mustang boys competed in this event.

Lezli Sisung, Peyton Becker, Abigail Nelson and Leah Givens brought home the win for Friendswood in both the girl’s 200-yard Medley and 400-yard Freestyle relays. The foursome of Hallie Ratcliff, Riley Holcomb, Bella Allen and Alex Linden also claimed the top spot in the girl’s 200-yard Freestyle relay. 

In the boy’s 200-yard Medley and 400-yard freestyle relays, Marshall Odom, Tony Laurito, Todd Sisung and Ethan Long raced to second and third place respectively, among a heavily packed home team.

Individual places first through fifth by order of event: Peyton Becker (1st) , Hallie Ratcliff (4th)  in the girl’s 200-yard freestyle; Marshall Odom (2nd) in the boy’s 200-yard freestyle; Lezli Sisung (1st), Leah Givens (2nd) , Riley Holcomb (3rd) in the girl’s 200-yard Individual Medley; Tony Laurito (1st) in the boy’s 200-yard Individual Medley;  Abigail Nelson (2nd), Bella Allen (4th) in the girl’s 50-yard freestyle; Ethan Long (5th) in the boy’s 50-yard freestyle ; Abigail Nelson (2nd), Mara White (4th) in the girl’s 100-yard butterfly; Todd Sisung (2nd), Talon Welch (5th) in the boy’s 100-yard butterfly; Leah Givens (1st), Bella Allen (4th) in the girl’s 100-yard freestyle; Brooke Hubenak (4th), Hanna Stuart (5th) in the girl’s 500-yard freestyle; Ethan Long (5th) in the boys’s 500-yard freestyle; Lezli Sisung (1st), Riley Holcomb (4th), Hallie Ratcliff (5th) in the girl’s 100-yard backstroke; Tony Laurito (1st) , Todd Sisung (2nd) in the boy’s 100-yard backstroke; Peyton Becker (1st), Mara White (3rd), Genevieve Ringo (5th) in the girl’s 100-yard breaststroke; Marshall Odom (2nd) in the boy’s 100-yard breaststroke.
