FHS Homecoming 2018

Sallianne Roher wins Homecoming QueenThe Friendswood High School Mustangs battled the Shadow Creek High School Sharks during their Homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 19 at Henry Winston Stadium. The Mustangs played a tough game resulting in a Shark 27-19 win.

During halftime, Homecoming candidates were escorted onto the field for the winners to be announced. The Homecoming Queen candidates were Reagan Greny, escorted by Robert Arnold; Mae McAninch, escorted by Julian Monroig; and Sallianne Roher, escorted by Ryan Peplinski.

Clayton Montemayor Anderson, crown bearer, along with his mother Leah Montemayor Anderson, FHS 1999 Homecoming Queen, presented Queen Sallianne Roher with the crown and a bouquet of roses after she was announced as the winner.

The FHS Football Sweetheart candidates included Payton Montemayor, escorted by Nick Divirgilio; Ashlee Reuter, escorted by JP Yawn; and Caroline Velek, escorted by Russell Langston.

Ashton Bliss, FHS 2017 Homecoming Sweetheart, presented Caroline Velek with a bouquet of roses after she was announced as the winner.

Trophy and flower bearers included Claire and Clayton Montemayor, children of Leah Montemayor Anderson; Britton Sellers Bedinger, daughter of Shannon Sellers Bedinger;
Kailee Guzzetta Dibble, daughter of Bethany Guzzetta Dibble; Harper and Walker Hanegan, children of Wade Hanegan; and Nolan McCormack Rudy, daughter of Candace McCormack. The parents named are all members of the FHS 1999 graduating class which was honored that night.

At the start of halftime, the band played the fight song in honor of the faculty and members of the 1999 class who gathered at the 50-yard line during the Homecoming activities.

All FHS homecoming preparations are under the direction of Mark Griffon, principal.
