Friendswood Forensics win Grand Sweepstakes

The Friendswood High School Speech and Debate Team won the 1st place Grand Sweepstakes award with 32 schools competing at the Clear Lake Speech tournament on October 29. Individual winners include the following:

Carter Adams–2nd place Championship LD Debate, Kennedy Bateman– 2nd place Outstanding Championship LD Debate Speaker Award, 5th place Championship LD Debate;

James Mills–1st place Domestic Extemp, Kennedy Bateman–4th place Domestic Extemp, Jonathan Monday–2nd place International Extemp , Rachel Sims–3rd place International Extemp;

Presley Wilson–4th place Oration, Andrea Beasley–2nd place Poetry, Nicholas Jeffcoat–5th place Prose;

Jonathan Monday–1st place Impromtu, Carter Adams–4th place Impromtu, Cole Muske–6th place Impromtu;

Adam Warren & Kyle Flick–tied for 1st place Novice LD Debate, Jonathan Monday & Clayton Senter–3rd place Novice Public Forum Debate, Kyle Flick–2nd place Novice Extemp, Clayton Senter–5th place Novice Extemp
