The health and safety of our students and staff is the number one priority in Friendswood ISD. With the recent heightened awareness and concern over infectious diseases and during this flu season, we need your help in keeping our students healthy.
Please keep your child home if he or she is not feeling well and/or:
- Temperature is 100° or more
- Vomiting or has vomited during the night
- Rash or skin infection other than poison ivy
- Contagious diseases or infestations – including but not limited to scabies, impetigo, conjunctivitis, live lice and varicella.
Students should not return to school unless symptom free for more than 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.
You can find the latest information about health care concerns from expert medical officials at the following websites:
US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov)
Texas Department of State Health Services (www.dshs.state.tx.us/)
Galveston County Health & Human Services (www.gchd.org)
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the nurse at your campus.
