Kimberly Hall, student council advisor at Friendswood Junior High, has been selected by the Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) District 7-13 as the 2018-19 Middle-Level School Advisor of the Year.
Hall has been a student council advisor for five years and has guided her council to numerous awards including the Outstanding Student Council and Sweepstakes Awards and National Gold Council of Excellence Award, both in 2017. She has also grown the program from 12 members to 85 members in her five years as the sponsor. Hall was also given in the Making a Difference Award and the Friendswood Junior High School Trailblazer Award in 2016 and named FJH Teacher of the Year in 2017.
Dana Drew, FJH principal, says of Hall, “Mrs. Hall is the centerpiece that makes our STUCO team rock. She has more than quadrupled the number of students involved in the program, taken leadership teams to conferences, taught them about servanthood and planned school-wide activities. She is very deserving of this award.”
TASC is the largest student leadership organization in the United States, and Hall represents those outstanding council advisors across the state who give of their time and knowledge to ensure student success.
