HOSA students advance to State competition

Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) has 21 students advancing to State competition by placing first, second or third at area contest. State will be held in San Antonio, March 27-29.

First place winners include the following:
Jessica Babcock- Medical Art Poster;
Ashley Cao-Public Service Announcement;
Rachel Cao-Public Service Announcement;
Merin John- EMT;
Kathleen Langan-Veterinary Service;
Megan Mai-Public Service Announcement;
Nathan Tat-Medical Reading;
Felicity Yiu-Public Service Announcement; and
Madeline Zimmermann-EMT.
Christina Nguyen-Outstanding HOSA Chapter;
Nguyen also won the  Barbara James Service Award.

Students who were awarded second place include the following:
Avery Chahl-Health Education;
Stephanie George-Clinical Specialty;
Karli Kessler-Sports Medicine;
Stephanie Kuo-Health Education;
Neha Narayan-Health Education;
Katherine Pham-Nutrition;
Andrea Pina- Health Career Display;
Sarah Sutherland-Outstanding HOSA Chapter; and
Joyce Varghese-Health Career Display.
Kayla Davis won third place in Medical Photography.

Health Science Technology instructors are Sophia Perez and Christine Scarpa.
