FHS senior wins leadership speech contest, advances
Natasha Wroblewski won a $100 scholarship at the Wyle Chapter NMA Leadership Speech contest last night. She will advance to the next level of competition in March.
FHS has 4 competing in Texas Forensic Assoc State Meet
Friendswood High School has four students competing in the Texas Forensic Association State meet. They are Walton-Gray Martin, Madelyn Warren, Natasha Wroblewski and Charles Yeager.
The Texas Forensic Association State Meet is the nation’s largest State Championship for Speech and Debate. Students will compete against both public and private schools.
In order to advance to this tournament, students must place at multiple tournaments during the regular season between August and February.
The four students from FHS have advanced in a total of five events.
The meet will take place in El Paso, Texas March 5-7.
The categories of their competition are as follows: Walton-Gray Martin–Foreign Extemp;
Madelyn Warren-Domestic Extemp & Public Forum Debate; Natasha Wroblewski -Domestic Extemp & Public Forum Debate; and Charles Yeager–Foreign Extemp.
