HauntedHouse shirtMuster all of your courage and head out this year to the 5th annual Fright Fest Haunted House at Friendswood High School. If you have not made it a Halloween tradition, now is the time. This Haunted house is built and staffed by the Friendswood High School Theatre Department and offers guest a trip through the bowels of the High School Auditorium. Making their way from the stage to the wings and dressing rooms, visitors are greeted with some of their worst nightmares. But don’t worry! Two tours are available- Simply Scary or Truly Terrifying- making this haunted house a treat for young and old.

Fright Fest started as a fun project for the officers of Thespian Troupe 1084 six years ago. The whole show is run on “kid power.” Advanced Theatre students design, direct, and cast individual sections of the haunted house. They build the necessary sets, gather costumes, and implement makeup designs and special effects. Fright Fest involves 80+ students and has over 1000 visitors each year.

Fright Fest is open October 30 & 31 from 6pm – 10pm in the auditorium of Friendswood High School. Tickets are $5 at-the-door.
