Friendswood High School’s Mighty Mustang Band will host its annual marching band competition on Saturday, September 24, at the Henry Winston Stadium.

“The Friendswood Marching Festival will provide an early season educational event that helps the bands prepare for the contest season,” said Greg Dick, Director of Bands. “We have the very best judges and they give tremendous positive feedback for each band to take home and continue to improve their show. The response by the bands to our festivals has been phenomenal. We are honored to have them come out to Friendswood.”

The event will have 18 area high school marching bands, including Friendswood High School’s own award-winning Mighty Mustang Band. All will perform at Saturday’s event.

The bands competing, in order of performance, are Morton Ranch, Kingwood, Jersey Village, Oak Ridge, Clements, Dawson, Seven Lakes, Foster, Santa Fe, Clear Falls, Pearland, Ridge Point, Woodlands, Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Cinco Ranch, Clear Brook, Waller and Stephen F. Austin.
