Mustang Swim Team Finishes 3rd at Regional Meet

The Regional 6A Swimming and Dive Meet was February 9-10 2017 at the Pearland Natatorium. Both teams finished in third place.

The Friendswood girls finished with 207 points behind the Pearland Oilers and the first place Kingwood High School.

The Friendswood boys finished with 278 points behind Clear Falls High School and the first place Kingwood High School. Mark Theall from Friendswood won the Regional Male Athlete of the meet. Coach Haffelder was named Boys Regional Diving Coach of the Year and Coach Little received the Girl Swimming Coaching Award.

The top 2 finishers in each swim event automatically advance to the state meet. The top 3 places in the diving competition advance to state. The automatic qualifiers from Friendswood are:
