Golden Boy
Clifford Odets’ timeless drama Golden Boy tells the story of a young Italian New Yorker in the late 1930s who pursues “the American dream” of fame and fortune and, by doing so, loses everything he worked for including a career as the best violinst in New York.

Director, Powdrell commented: “This play premiered in New York with the Group Theatre in 1937 to and now more than 75 years later the play still resonates as a story about the American dream with boxing as the backdrop.”
The title role is played by senior Max Morgan.
