Family Fun Event for the Friendswood Community
FHS Thespian Officers: Cole Kirkpatrick - senior, Taylor Greny - junior, Jordyn Wescott – junior, Gracen McGregor - junior and Rory Sims - senior have been organizing the annual event. FHS THEATRE students transform the backstage area into Family FUN event for the Friendswood Community.
Early in October, senior theatre students submit proposal ideas to bid for a “room” to present during this event. Students design, layout, plan, install, create props, create costumes then audition and cast actors from the freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior theatre students to act in each room. Senior directors are chosen based upon organization, idea, plot and theme. Amy Thornton, directs the event. Each year the students are involved in every step of planning. Technical Theatre students grades 9 – 12 are part of the build out while Theatre Arts students grades 10 – 12 work on costume design, special effect makeup, costume and prop designs.
FHS Thespians offer two types of tours for the various age groups. Tickets are available at the door. FHS Theatre accepts cash. There is a ATM available on campus. Concessions are available as well.
Don’t miss this annual event.
