A Christmas Carol Closes on Sun., Dec. 9

One of the most beloved Christmas tales ever told comes to life this December as Friendswood High School's award winning Theatre department presents Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

This adaptation by Amy S. Tones and Amy R. Thornton tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge's ghostly Christmas Eve that takes him through the past, present, and future Senior Jordyn Westcott describes the production this way; "Transcendental and cosmopolitan, A Christmas Carol is about much more than the single traditions of a single group of people; it’s about holiday spirit. The holidays, to me, are not about the gifts or the traditions or the standards. The holidays are not about Hanukkah or Christmas or Kwanzaa. The holiday season is about love, charity, and togetherness; it’s about dissolving the divisions among us in a celebration of blessings, setting apart our differences so that we may rejoice, together."

Scrooge (Fedor Aglyamov), Bob Cratchit (Eric Jensen), and Tiny Tim (Viviana Mendoza) look out upon the hope of Christmas morning.
