The FHS Robotics team traveled to Austin on Friday and Saturday to compete in the 5A-6A State UIL Robotics competition.  We were invited to take one team with one robot, so we combined our two robotics teams, Blue Steel and Horsepower, to form one team.  This team  had less than three weeks to modify and improve their design and make their programming changes for the competition.  They worked long and hard in the days leading up to the competition, and in the end they placed 14th out of 32 teams in the qualifying matches.  Unfortunately, only the top 12 teams advanced to the finals, so this ended our Robotics season.  Mr. Carter and I are proud of how the two teams were able to come together and work under these time constraints to make the necessary adjustments to be competition ready.
