Friendswood High School Senior Anushka Jetly was selected as one of 300 semi-finalists for the Regeneron Science Talent Search. The Regeneron STS is the nation’s “oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors,” according to its website.
The purpose of the Regeneron STS is to give students a national stage on which to present original research and celebrate the young scholars. Out of 1,993 applicants for this year’s competition, Jetly was selected as one of 300 to receive a $2,000 scholarship for innovative thinking and exceptional research skills.
Jetly will be considered amongst the other semi-finalists to become one of 40 finalists who will be announced after Jan. 22.
