“Dear Mustang Families,
Thirty-five school days ago, public education as we knew it took on a new look.  During that time, teachers, parents and students have shown their resilience and dedication to learning.  As of today, there are fourteen school days left of the 2019-2020 year. Fourteen days to finish strong!

During these next three weeks, teachers will continue to post learning opportunities on Monday mornings. Student participation in these learning opportunities is necessary for course completion and for application of the grading guidelines. Also, please see the guidelines attached for student equipment and textbook turn in and locker clean out information which will be done by grade level. Finishing strong includes students completing our year end clean out and continuing their dedication to learning!

As we celebrate teacher appreciation this week, I want to recognize the incredible teachers we have at FHS who are working so hard to serve our students from a distance.  They miss their students dearly and long to see them again! Thank you for partnering with your child’s teachers throughout this time!

In the words of Lou Holtz, “How one responds in the second half, will determine what they become after the game.”  As we cross the finish line, we will all be stronger, smarter, better and more resilient because of this journey. Please encourage your student to check their FISD email as I will send them a message tonight as well.
Stay safe, stay strong and stay positive!
