FISD’s Reopening Plan was approved by the FISD Board of Trustees on Monday, July 20th.

This document and the Virtual Learning Option Plans are based on the
public health situation as we know it today.

Changes to the public health situation, Governor’s Executive Orders, and TEA Guidance
may necessitate changes to this plan.

The Board of Trustees will meet Monday, July 27th to vote on how FISD’s teachers and students will transition back to school. Possible scenarios may include pushing back the start date of school to allow for staff and teacher preparation for protocols and virtual learning options.  The teachers’ report date is August 12th allowing only 5 days to prepare for the fall of 2020.  Other considerations could include transitioning smaller groups or grades of students into the building before a full return and/or a virtual learning period.
