In addition to participating in all TMEA and UIL competitions throughout the year, the CHORAL DEPARTMENT at Friendswood HS presents three concerts (Fall, Holiday and Spring) yearly, as well as an end-of year Pop Show and pre-game PastaPalooza. We have the privilege of claiming multiple TMEA All-State Choir members annually, and are consistent UIL Sweepstakes award recipients. There are six choirs, including auditioned and non-auditioned groups. The Choral Department also offers Applied Music and AP Music Theory.

The FORENSICS program at Friendswood HS has been built on a long tradition of excellence, the talent and hard work of its members and the support, and encouragement from the Administration. Since its inception, the Forensics program has boasted numerous National Champions and Medalists, All Americans, National Tournament Qualifiers, UIL State Champions, and Texas Forensic Association Champions and Medalists. More importantly, members of the department have gone on to become successful individuals, both in and out of the classroom. To be a part of Forensics is to be a part of a great tradition, and to learn skills that will you use long after you have graduated.
