From UIL championships to various state and national awards, the Fine Arts Department showcases young talents in theatre, art, choir, band, forensics and dance. Individuals, as well as groups, are recognized annually for their accomplishments and each area provides the community with performances and demonstrations of what the have learned.
The ART DEPARTMENT at Friendswood High School centers on the area of learning that is based upon the visual and tangible arts – drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed medias. We participate in Rodeo Art and Visual Art Scholastic Competition and have earned numerous awards in all of these events. We strongly encourage art students to challenge themselves through Advanced Placement Studio Art. Our National Art Honor Society provides services to local charities and organizations in need.
