Why did Dr. Montz join the Board: My wife and I chose to return to Friendswood to raise our family and have our children attend Friendswood schools because we truly appreciate how this community embraces excellent education and promotes extraordinary opportunities. The exceptional quality of life for families in Friendswood is centered upon Friendswood schools and its tradition of academic and extracurricular excellence. I joined the Board to contribute to the future growth and successes of FISD along with our whole community.
What Dr. Montz hopes to accomplish: Our school community is strong because excellence and leadership is expected. The foundation for my educational and life success was established with my profound experience attending Friendswood schools. It all begins with the parents, teachers, and staff to create a positive connection with our eager students to challenge and motivate them to achieve success in doing their best at every endeavor. I offer to bring good sound reasoning and practical resolve in facing the many challenges in leading FISD into the future and make certain that the high-quality experience and opportunity continues for all our students.
